Ms. Sharanya Iyer

For Sharanya, design is a process of self- discovery, stemming from her belief in simpler living. Her beliefs translate into the creation of inclusive, sustainable and liveable solutions that reduce everyday complexity and allow for more grounded lifestyles. Through Studio Verge (Est.2013) she strives to look at a spectrum of sustainable design and construction possibilities, from all earth to a myriad of in- between solutions, stemming from the belief that natural living can be adapted to differing needs of users, context, budgets and site conditions in varying degrees. Sharanya has a B.Arch JNTUSPA, Hyderabad (2004) and a M.Arch University of Cincinnati, USA. (2007) with LEED AP (BD+C 2009), Griha Cert(2011) accreditations.

Her 15+yr journey is informed by diverse professional experiences, from coordinating stakeholder lead urban interventions in Tirupati as part of a UNDP initiative to working on large-scale mixed-use projects in China & South Korea as part of John Portman & Associates and High-end hospitality interiors as part of Phillipe Stark's team at Bergman Walls & Associates, Las Vegas USA.
